Giant Mic. (2023)
"Giant Mic." is based on the classic RCA 77-D microphone used by Larry King, David Letterman, Dick Clark, etc. "Giant Mic." is a second generation sculpture I designed and constructed for a parade float representing a radio station where I was on the board of directors. I used expanded polystyrene (EPS) polyester resin, automobile paint, aluminum and steel. I also attached the 300 circular stickers by hand. I’ve been told that it authentically reflects the Golden Age of broadcasting.
